Abstract. The article is devoted to the analysis of regional climate changes on the territory of the republic in 2021-2022. based on the data of real hydrometeorological observations and the study of their influence on the hydrometeorological conditions of the country. It was determined that, as in previous years, in 2020 and 2022 there was an increase in the average annual temperature in the country, which amounted to +2.10С and +2.00С, respectively. In 2021, the largest temperature increase was observed at altitudes of 1-200 m and > 1000 m + 2.20С,
and the smallest – in areas below ≤ 0 m + 1.60С. In regions, the maximum temperature rise is +2.50C. In the Lesser Caucasus, the smallest increase was +1.6 0С in Absheron-Gobustan. In 2022, the average annual temperature increase was +2.0 0С, while the maximum increase again amounted to +2.2 0С in the altitude range of 1-200 m, and the smallest (+1.30С) regions, the largest increase was in the Nakhchivan MR (+2.10С), the smallest increase was +0.70С in the Greater Caucasus. The average annual precipitation decreased to -134 mm in
2021 and to -134 mm in 2022. The greatest decrease in the amount of precipitation occurred in the altitude range of 201-500 m – 175 mm. The average annual water discharge of the Kura River in the Girakkesaman region over the past 10 years (2012-2022) has decreased from 375 m3 /s to 202 m3/s. The level of the Caspian Sea during the years under study decreased by -20 cm and -28 cm, respectively.
