Abstract. The development of agriculture is a more active form of society’s impact on nature. Advances in agrarian science are making a big difference in agriculture. At the same time, the impact of human activities on natural systems is growing. Due to this effect, the process of soil salinization and salinization, erosion, desertification, swamping, reduced soil fertility and destruction of microflora occur. The Mugan plain is one of the regions where the early artificial irrigation system was established. For this reason, the article is based on the study of agro-landscapes in the Mugan plain. In addition to summarizing the data collected from various scientific sources, the research was conducted to compare the results of the analysis of satellite images with the actual situation in the area. As a result of the analysis, it became clear that 46.94% of the area, ie 2326.25 km2, is located between -41- -20 m. Also, 44.72% of arable lands and 46.92% of settlements are located at these heights. Areas with the lowest density of plantations and
settlements are found at an altitude of 20-100 m above the study area.
Keywords: ecosystem, agrolandscapes, anthropogenic activity, cultivated areas, technogenesis.
