PROSPECTIVE EVALUATION OF CARBON DIOXID EMISSIONS FROM FUEL USE IN AZERBAIJAN

Abstract

The article shows how to create a model for predicting carbon dioxide emissions from fuel combustion. The purpose of creating the model is to study the possibility of fulfilling the obligations of the Republic of Azerbaijan under the Paris Agreement on global climate change.
The macroeconomic indicators of the country were used as indicators for the model, i.e. population, gross domestic product, fuel production and consumption. To build the forecast, statistical estimates of macroeconomic indicators for 2015–2020 were taken. To assess the adequacy of the model of the real situation, the “inconsistency coefficient” of Theil was used.
