PRIORITIES OF REGULATION OF THE SOCIOECONOMIC BASE IN THE ECONOMIC AND GEOGRAPHICAL REGION OF ABSHERON

Abstract. The article deals with the study of formation and de­velopment of economic and social infrastructure of the economic and geographical region of Absheron. The re­gion is different from the other parts of Azerbaijan so as it is characterized with the too high concentration of in­dustrial facilities and the availability of larger manufac­turing output due to the rapid development of petroleum industry. In the scientific work, the ways of solution of problem of distribution of population, as well as envi­ronmental issues are investigated. The importance of re­gional policy in the development of socioeconomic ba­se, and also the relevant measures of improvement with taking into consideration local condition are studied as well.
