THE ROLE OF NATURAL AND ECONOMİC FACTORS İNFLUENCİNG THE DEVELOPMENT OF CROP PRODUCTİON İN LANKARAN-ASTARA ECONOMİC REGİON

Abstract. The article explores the role of natural and economic factors affecting the territorial orga­niza­tion and perspective development of crop production in the Lankaran-Astara economic region. Modern ter­ri­torial organization of crop production on ad­ministrative territorial centres (Lankaran, Astara, Ma­salli, Jalilabad, Yardimli and Lerik) included in Lankaran-Astara eco­nomic region was studied, analyzes were carried out on the basis of statistical and observation materials. In the economic-geographical region, factors influencing the deve­lop­ment of agriculture, including water resources, soil and climate conditions, as well as economic factors, trans­portation networks, subsidies allocated to this sector, and favorable credit terms have been studied. Crop production areas with development potential in dif­fe­rent economic territories of the region have been identified, and relevant recommendations have been prepared using statistical, mathematical analysis and ot­her methods to properly address the problems en­countered in production and processing enterprises.
