HAZARDOUS ATMOSPHERIC PHENOMENA IN THE ARDABIL PROVINCE OF THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF IRAN

Abstract. When assessing agroclimatic resources as a set of climatic factors affecting plant development and life activity, it is important to determine quantitative in­dicators for the study of dangerous atmospheric pheno­mena, humidity and other factors in these plants. Dan­gerous meteorological phenomena are factors that have a negative impact on the development and productivity of agricultural crops. In this article, based on long-term data from meteorological stations located in the study area, we consider some of them found in the territory of the Ardabil province of the Islamic Republic of Iran – the frequency of strong winds, hurricanes, sandstorms, hail, severe frosts and the duration of the snow cover. A description of the distribution of these indicators across the province is given. The results obtained can be used to overcome the possible negative consequences of the­se phenomena.
