Abstract. Along with the great benefits provided to society by a constantly and dynamically developing transport network, its detrimental effect on all components of the biosphere is inevitable. According to the World Health Organization, in currently two-thirds of the world’s population living in cities and along intensive highways, breathes polluted air, which causes the growth of many diseases. The atmospheric layer, with which people are most in contact, is continuously polluted by the most harmful chemical compounds from internal combustion engines of cars. It is the most used form of transport, using oxygen, which makes up only 23% of the atmosphere and is an important source of life for living beings. Given the seriousness of the problem, the present article is devoted to the study of the impact of vehicles on the soil cover of the study area.
