PRİNCİPLES OF COMPLEX INDUSTRİAL DEVELOPMENT AND ECONOMİC-GEOGRAPHİCAL ISSUES İN AZERBAİJAN

Annotation. Since industry is a crucial sector of the economy, it plays a significant role in the socio-economic development of cities and their surrounding areas. The complex development of industry fosters the growth of interconnected sectors, reduces the volume of waste released into the environment, and enables the full processing of raw materials and semi-finished products. Taking this into account, measures are being implemented to ensure the complex development of sectors involved in the processing of mineral resources and agricultural products. The article highlights that oil extraction and processing in the Absheron region and the Caspian shelf zone contribute to the complex development of these sectors. In Azerbaijan’s regions, conditions exist for the complex development of industrial sectors focused on the processing of agricultural products. The article underscores the necessity of implementing measures in this direction.
