Abstract. The ability to timely forecast emergencies from re­mote sensing data is an important prerequisite for taking precautionary measures and effectively planning the work to eliminate the consequences of flooding. The processing of satellite imagery data for the purpose of operative monitoring of vast territories is the most re­levant and optimal in terms of resources and time in re­searching flood risk zones and conducting analysis on the economic activities of the population.
