PRESENT STATE OF THE BROWN-MOUNTAIN-FOREST SOILS DISTRIBUTED IN THE SOUTH SLOPE OF THE MAJOR CAUCASUS

Abstract. The physical and chemical composition of the brown-mountain-forest soils distributed in the south slo­pe of the Major Caucasus is examined and its compara­tive analysis with the same trendly researches carried out in previous years is given in the article. The chan­ging of physical and chemical composition of upper la­yer of soils, its influence on humidity and fo­rest produc­tivity of soils and degradation degree are stu­died. The suggestions are given for selection of territori­es in order to extend the areas of forests.
