Abstract <\/strong><\/p>\n

In the Shirvan-Salyan economic region, which is the focus of our study, the presence of oil, natural gas, and iodide-bromine waters provides an opportunity for the development of fuel-energy and chemical industry sectors. At the same time, there is great potential for the development of the light and food industry sectors based on the processing of agricultural products. However, the economic difficulties that emerged during the transition period led to a decline in output in the region\u2019s leading economic sectors and changed their role in the economy. At present, an economic-geographical analysis of the changes occurring in the formation of the economic structure in the Shirvan-Salyan economic region, and the study of new economic management principles, are required. It is precisely in this context that the research conducted has led to the identification of new economic management principles.<\/p>\n
