Annotation<\/strong><\/p>\n

The potential of solar and wind energy in the Karabakh region of the Azer\u00adbaijan Republic, liberated from occupation, is being assessed. Now the inten\u00adsi\u00adve restoration of the destroyed infrastructure of cities and villages is un\u00adder\u00adway in the region and the implementation of green technologies has priority. It is shown that 28% of the region’s area has high solar energy potential (<\/strong>1501 – 1607 kWh\/m2<\/sup> \/ Year ). The potential of solar energy of just 1% of this area is about 10 billion kWh\/Year, which is approximately 35% of electricity pro\u00adduced in Azerbaijan Republic in 2022.\u00a0 Average annual wind power in 10% of the windiest areas of the Kalbajar-Lachin region at the heights of\u00a0 35, 50\u00a0 and 100 meters is 610 W\/m\u00b2, 673 W\/m\u00b2 and 764 W\/m\u00b2, respectively. Technical potential of wind energy is about 3 billion kWh\/Year. In preliminary es\u00adti\u00admation for the wind power production in the region small scale<\/em> wind turbines are the most cost-effective.<\/p>\n
