Annotation.\u00a0<\/strong>The environment-forming function of the relief is mainly related to the fact that it is the main factor determining the differentiation of natural and anthro\u00adpo\u00adgenic landscapes, air temperature, humidity, soil-vegetation cover, distri\u00adbu\u00adtion of organic and mineral substances, physical-geographic characteristics. Taking into account the ideas that the relief is the basic element of ecosystems and has important recreational resources and aesthetic potential, geomor\u00adpho\u00adlogical natural monuments are important in the development of tourism, es\u00adpe\u00adcially ecotourism and geotourism, the concept of relief having an en\u00advi\u00adron\u00adment-creating function has been put forward. In this regard, taking into ac\u00adcount the fact that the southern slope of the Great Caucasus has complex na\u00adtural conditions, a unique geomorphological structure, represents one of the most intensively populated areas of our country and has been intensively used for recreation in recent years, we have studied the environment-forming func\u00adtion of the terrain on the example of this area.<\/p>\n
