The article analyzes the level of vegetation of the Ganja physical-geographical region. During the research, maps of territorial landscapes were compiled based on satellite data (Landsat 5, Landsat 8) and geographic information technologies (GIS), and the dynamics of NDVI (Normalized Differential Vegetation Index) values for different periods (2000, 2020) was tracked. It has been established that as a result of natural and anthropogenic influences, various changes occurred in the physiognomic types of vegetation cover (trees, shrubs and grasses) and the area of derived senoses increased. A comparative analysis of the indicators of the compiled maps shows that in 2020 the area of herbaceous plants, grasses and shrubs, light forests and shrubs increased compared to 2000. There was a decrease in the area of forests; forests were completely destroyed in terms of very dense forest cover. The research also investigated the NDVI values corresponding to landscape complexes in altitudinal zones. It has been determined that NDVI values of 0.1-0.2 correspond to landscapes of low, middle and partly high mountains, 0.2-0.3, 0.3-0.4, 0, 4-0.5 correspond to landscapes of low and medium mountains, and the values 0.5-0.6, 0.6-0.7 and 0.7- 0.8 &#8211; landscapes of the medium and partly high mountains.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Keywords<\/strong>: Ganja, satellite images, NDVI, vegetation, anthropogenic transformation, regenerating landscapes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>References<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Az\u0259r\u00adbay\u00adcan Res\u00adpub\u00adli\u00adka\u00ads\u0131\u00adn\u0131n co\u011f\u00adra\u00adfi\u00adya\u00ads\u0131.
