A b s t r a c t<\/strong>
\nThis paper providing a risk assessment methodology for geohazards affecting the buried pipelines transporting the crude oil and gas on the territory of Azerbaijan. The given methodology is the level based, multicomponent definition and further impact level estimation of the risks on the buried pipelines and their linear parts. A specific attribute of this methodology is an aggregation of known geohazards into descriptive and then into a single and generalized risk ratio level. The main aspect of this task is to properly identify the risk rations per geohazard affecting the buried pipelines. These ratios then will be used as a common, generalized risk values to be visualized on maps using GIS tools. Thus, the proposed methodology of identification and classification of multicomponent risks also allows to analyze risks both at separate segments and linear parts and along the whole length of the pipeline route using GIS tools. The verification of above technics was performed on hazardous areas where pipelines laid on.<\/p>\n
