\nAbstract<\/strong><\/p>\n

The article is based on the results of many years of soil research and laboratory analysis. The results are compared with similar lands in Mesopotamia and Central Asia. It is noted that although the lands of the Siyazan-Sumgayit massif and the South-East Shirvan plain are close to geographically comparable geographic regions, there are differences. In Mesopotamia and Central Asia, these lands are typical desert lands. In Azerbaijan, it was formed in a semi-desert. It is logical that the process of desertification in the coastal regions of the Caspian has been going on for a long time. If these territories are not well protected and the anthropogenic load increases, the rate of desertification in these territories may increase. Takyr-like soils of the Siyazan-Sumgayit massif are formed in a semi-desert landscape and differ from the surrounding soils in their mechanical composition, weight, density, clay color, and microrelief features. The article shows the ways of obtaining high yields from the soil on the basis of complex agrotechnical measures.<\/p>\n
