Abstract.\u00a0<\/strong>Ecotourism is one of the rapidly developing areas of tourism. Ecotourism plays an important role in the con\u00adservation and awareness of natural resources and cul\u00adtu\u00adral heritage. It also significantly contributes to using of recreational resources and biological diversity, as well as to sustainable development of the region\u2019s tourism in\u00addustry. In this regard, the article examined the role of ecotourism in sustainable development of Sheki-Za\u00adga\u00adtala economic-geographical region, emphasizing the trends in the development of region\u2019s economy and na\u00adture monuments of high ecotourism potential.<\/p>\n
