Abstract.<\/strong> This article discusses the current state of physical and chemical parameters of irrigated meadow-gray soils of the Mughan-Salyan plain. For this purpose, in the village of Khirmandaly of Bilasuvar district, soil slits were laid in cha\u00adrac\u00adteristic areas, to determine their geographical co\u00ador\u00addi\u00adna\u00adtes, conduct a field description of the territory, and gain data on cotton yields in recent years. In the territory, there are mainly meadow-gray, meadow-boggy so\u00adil and saline soils. Of these, the main type of soil used for the growing of cotton is meadow-gray soils and their sub-types.<\/p>\n

Studies have proved that the use of long-term ir\u00adri\u00adga\u00adtion leads to significant changes in the salt composition of irrigated soils. The value of the dense residue varies between 0.215-0.580%, while the reaction medium is between 7.5-8.1, carbonate (CaCO3) makes up 3.10-4.20%, absorbed Ca2+ <\/sup>is 19,00-30,43, mg.eq, Mg2+<\/sup> is 10,15-15,90 mg.eq, and hygro\u00adsco\u00adpic moisture equals 6,30-7,20%.<\/p>\n
