The article shows the features of the state of the forest cover of the Ismaili re\u00adgion of Azerbaijan. through the ap\u00adpli\u00adcation of methods of remote sensing of the Earth (ERS). The stages of preliminary pro\u00adces\u00adsing of data through the images obtained by the Landsat satellite are described. Data processing includes radio\u00admet\u00adric and atmospheric correction and is per\u00adfor\u00admed with using the ENVI\u00a0 program complex. After each next pro\u00adcessing step, the article shows the corrected images and the corresponding spectral curves. To determine changes in the state of forests, the da\u00adta of remote sensing of forests in 2001 and 2010 were stu\u00addied. The pro\u00adces\u00adsing technique is shown during the monitoring of the study area.
