Abstract.<\/strong>\u00a0The\u00a0 information about the geographical position of the exploited fields, their dimensions, productivity of the structural layers, as well as the development of the oil and gas industry in the international economic rela\u00adti\u00adons system, which is becoming one of the decisive direc\u00adtions of the independent Azerbaijan’s state policy and the reaching of oil and the gas industry has a high level of development in the 21st century are also was taken in\u00adto consideration in this article.<\/p>\n

The article outlines the reasons for the sharp dete\u00adrioration of the quality of water in many\u00a0 water areas of the Caspian Sea and the reasons for their transition from contaminated to polluted class and the necessity of ecologically and safety approach to waste management during the oil and gas exploration process.<\/p>\n

In this article also unsatisfied environmental si\u00adtuation in the oil and gas production areas,\u00a0 discharging of wastes from\u00a0 oil-extraction operations to the Caspian Sea (Hovsan and Channel 32), accumulation of oil slud\u00adge in production areas, spontaneous discharge\u00a0 of industrial waters into the water area were taken into consideration.<\/p>\n
