Abstract<\/strong>.\u00a0For the first time in the article, emerging the his\u00adtorical dynamics of the relief landscape of Azerbaijan and the ecological problems from it have been studied extensively. It has been established, plain forests com\u00adpletely destroyed and transposed to anthropogenic com\u00adplexes; the biodiversity of existing forest ecosystems has been diminished, some species of trees and shrubs ha\u00adve been ruined, and the density of the forest has dropped from the ecological norm. The proposed environmental sustainability index is calculated (by the formula \u22111<\/sub>=S1<\/sub>\/S3<\/sub>) ecological stability in the studied region. Taking into consideration the role of the Relict Forest Ecosystem in the preservation of the global gene pool, the Hirkan National Park area must be expanding to three times.<\/p>\n
