Abstract.<\/strong>\u00a0Urban development, urban population and ur\u00adbanization rate are indicators of the level of de\u00advelopment of the country. The increase in urban population depends on the economic and socio-cultural base of cities, the possibility of creating new jobs as well as the economic structure and the role of labor-intensive industries.<\/p>\n

In the years of independence, the decline in production in the economic subjects, located in the cities, the loss of jobs and a decline in living standards, as well as migration processes negatively affected on the growth of cities and the number of urban popu\u00adla\u00adtion. Therefore, the level of urbanization remains practically unchanged over the past decades. The im\u00adplemented measures yet have weak effect on this process. In the article, the measures on solution of these problems are shown.<\/p>\n
