Abstract.<\/strong> According to historical sources, this geographical name has variants of writing as Hasilli, Hamashara, Mu\u00adsarchay, Astrakhanbazar and Jalilabad. The territory of Jalilabad was settled in the III-IV centuries before Christ. Professor Qiyaseddin Qeybullayev considers the toponym of Hasilli (Isallu) one of the families of Afshar tribe. Professor Tofiq Ahmadov shows that the name of Hasilli family is the name of one of the tribes, moved from Central Asia in the 13th century. But, the Russian soviet orientalist, academician V.V.Bartold associates that name with Turkish-speaking Oghuz tribes. Profes\u00adsor Nabi Nabiyev tells that Jalilabad was named in honor of Jalil Mamadquluzade. Professor Nadir Mammadov thinks that the Hamashara toponym is the memory of the ancient centuries reflecting the name of Hamashara tri\u00adbe. Hamashara is one of the settlements of Eneolith. This name has been kept in a distorted name of the Mishar\u00adchay River flowing on that territory.<\/p>\n
